That’s a State of Play announcement that I’m sure wasn’t on anyone’s bingo card.

Chrono Trigger was the first game on the list that I've finished. The story and music absolutely blew me away and deeply affected my life. I thought JRPGs were the pinnacle of gaming when I was 13. Since then, the only other game I've beaten from that list is Golden Sun. I finished Pokémon Blue a few times but never played 5 minutes of Gold/Silver until 2021. It's only been 26 years but I get the feeling that JRPGs aren't my bag.
