Ryzen 5 3600X
Nvidia GTX 1660 Super
16GB DDR4 3200
MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI motherboard
A decent system but nothing crazy. I'd like to think I'd come in at least the top 10. Given the amount of active users we have it is likely to happen!

The GTX 960 seems like a pretty decent cardStormwatch wrote: Thu Jun 04, 2020 3:14 pm i5 750 and GTX 960. A bit aged, but most games still run acceptably.
Might be a good time, the AM4 platform is mature enough now that pretty much all the kinks have been ironed out, and the prices are amazing for the performance.Skynet wrote: Thu Jun 04, 2020 8:08 pm Mine is a couple years old, was planning on doing a new build this year
i5-7600K slight OC running at 4.4GHz
Gigabyte Z260M-D3H motherboard
16GB of some brand RAM (maybe Gskill)
Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming
Bunch of HDDs and SSDs. Something like a 240GB Samsung for Windows, 2TB mechanical, 3TB mechanical, 500GB SSD, 1TB SSD
dual 1080p 24" monitors because I'm a pleb
Apparently CPU prices are dropping something fierce right now, so I may do a new build sooner rather than later.
That one uses the 1366 socket, mine's 1156. I don't suppose they're compatible. Now, I could upgrade to any Xeon X34xx. I was tempted to get an X3470, but I don't know if it's worth the hassle.Calavera wrote: Thu Jun 04, 2020 3:47 pmI'm guessing the best CPU your board can support is the i7 975?

Slap those high-end 2006 components in the worst Lian Li case that you can find second hand!Skynet wrote: Fri Jun 05, 2020 11:34 pm Up until I replaced it with a raspberry pi my arcade machine was being run by the following:
Athlon 3800+ @ 2.4 GHz
2GB RAM
nvidia 7600GS
It's still sitting in my arcade, just not connected to anything. I honestly don't really know what to do with it.![]()
