Danny DeVito May Leave It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia In 2 More Seasons

Post by Bandit »

Danny DeVito has suggested that he could leave cult US comedy It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia after two more seasons.

Season 11 of the show concluded in March, with three more seasons commissioned, making it one of the longest-running live-action sitcoms ever.

The sitcom centres on the friends running Paddy’s Pub in South Philadelphia and stars Charlie Day, Kaitlin Olson, Glenn Howerton, Rob McElhenney alongside DeVito. DeVito joined the show for Season Two in 2006, he plays Frank Reynolds, the father of characters Dennis and Dee.

Speaking to the Metro, DeVito was quizzed about what work he has coming up, to which he replied: "I have a couple of seasons left on the TV series It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia".

DeVito's departure has not been confirmed officially.

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia is now among the longest-running live-action comedy shows ever, alongside The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet, a sitcom that started in 1952 and lasted for 14 seasons.
