Farming Simulator 17 Console Mod Support Announced

Giants Software and Focus Home Interactive released a new trailer for Farming Simulator 17.

The trailer reveals some of the new brands that are available in this game, such as Challenger, Fendt, Massey Ferguson, and Valtra. When it launches, Farming Simulator 17 will have more than 60 brands and over 200 vehicles available.

They also announced that, like Fallout 4, there will be mod support for Farming Simulator 17 on consoles. More is to be revealed about mod support on consoles in the future.

You can watch the E3 trailer below. Farming Simulator 17 will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC this fall.

We've come a long way from SimFarm



My brother and cousin would've loved mod support in previous versions. Older versions had goofy European machinery, but mods to add in American manufacturers, U.S. landscapes is huge.

What could possibly be new in Farming Simulator 2017? Female farmers, for one! They’ve brought female character models into the game because it’s silly to think that the men are the ones driving the tractors and tilling the fields for soybean crops — which is a new crop addition to Farming Simulator 2017, in addition to the sunflower crop. And yes, the sunflowers do actually move their heads towards the direction of the sun along with the day/night cycle of the game which was strangely alluring to watch in a time lapse as one of the developers fast-forwarded.

SimFarm is the Rage Racer to Farming Simulator's Gran Turismo.

My brother found out that farming oranges broke that game's economy, and always wanted a more complete farming simulator. He and my cousin grew up close to farming, but never have owned their own land.
