According to Bubba The Love Sponge, he was brain dead after whatever operation he had recently, so in some ways this news isn't a shock. But it's still a shock.

Someone said today was also the 10th anniversary of WWE firing him for the tape of him using the n-word being released by Gawker. He came back 4 years later.

So who is telling the truth, Jimmy Hart or Bubba The Love Sponge? Bubba said he's been bad off since May and that was why Jimmy filled in all summer for his beer personal appearances and Eric Bischoff was on Fox & Friends yesterday without him. Jimmy says he was fine.

Bubba, I'm assuming Jimmy's kayfabing.
Sad to hear Hulk Hogan has passed. He changed the world of professional wrestling twice - when he beat Sheiky for the WWF title where the era of Hulkamania and Rock & Wrestling began, changing the landscape of wrestling completely. Then again in WCW, when he turned heel & joined up with Big Kev & Scott to create the nWo.
It's a real shame his legacy is tarnished, as for many, Hulk was a real life superhero. Yet when someone of his stature passes you try & separate Hulk Hogan the character & Terry Bollea the person.
When you think so many fans got into wrestling around the world because of Hulk Hogan & what being a Hulkamaniac meant to them his passing is very sad. Had he been more careful with protecting his legacy, not have his personal life be so public & never saying those words etc then the tributes would be so different. Yet we can say the same for others too, as no one is perfect.
I like to remember Hulk Hogan as the larger than life character who stood for good, battling against & being victorious against the heels. Hollywood Hogan was a great gimmick too, yet it was as "The Hulkster" Hulk Hogan where I believe he really shined, especially in the WWF.
It's a real sad day for many fans & regardless of what Terry Bollea said & did, in the pantheon of professional wrestling, Hulk Hogan will be immortal & Hulkamania will be forever.
RIP Hulk Hogan
