I remember when I was emulating SNES with ZSNES
Back in the late 90s it was, I thought it was amazing that I could have every SNES game on my PC! I really wanted to play Super Mario RPG but it wasn't compatible at the time. Heck I don't think Pilotwings was even compatible, most games with helper chips didn't work. I still wanted to play Mario RPG so I looked online to buy one. It was late enough that most stores didn't have them in stock anymore. But there was a site called Etoys that still had brand new copies, so I bought one. Kept the original box and everything and ended up selling it for around $70 in the mid 2000s...a boxed copy sold on Ebay a few days ago for $400. I should have held onto it for 20 more years!

zSNES was the best for a very long time. I loved how feature rich it was.

I remember asking my dad to buy me a used CiB copy of Chrono Trigger off eBay around 1998 for an unheard of price: $70.
We only had SNES9X back then for the Mac so I was I jealous of the cool zSNES interface on Windows. When I got my first USB drive, I loaded zSNES on it and played games on the school computers.
