Melancholy....THE SNOW!

Post by Calavera »

I never believe the weather when they say we are going to have a big snow. Seems like 9 times out of 10 they over hype and the 8-10 inches ends up being 2 inches at most. But we actually got it this time. It is currently icing on top of the snow here so that is fun. I'm supposed to go to work at 2:30pm tomorrow but idk if the roads will be cleared by then or not. Also who knows if they will even be open. They shouldn't be. It is 2:22AM now and my county and all surrounding ones are at a Level Red Travel Advisory which means emergency travel only. Looks like you are currently in the yellow.

The snow started around 10AM, I had to go somewhere around noon. These are pics from around 2:30pm or so on my way back.

It continued to snow all day until around idk 10-11pm or so when it switched to ice. It is going to be a mess in the morning.

We were supposed to get 6 inches. I just now looked outside and the snow barely covers my van. The weather app says we got 0.8”. So yeah, we hardly got anything.

Really? That is interesting, I thought you got quite a bit up there too. You live around the Muncie area right?

Here is a pic I just took

Once it gets daylight out I'm gonna take some pics and videos, just for fun.

They updated it so now it says we got 2.8. Maybe I just misread it. Anyway, it wasn’t too bad. Was even less at my new job.

Oh yeah, I got a new job by the way.

Ya boy Laserdisc Don needs to go out and build his own Frosty the Snowman. One better than that 2 frames of repeated animation shit from the Karaoke LD! :olol:

Here are just a few of the pics I took. These first two are of the main highway around 8:30AM on January 6th.

Showing how deep the snow was in places. It is kind of hard to tell from the pic though, I put my glove in there for scale :olol:

I had to end up calling into work Monday. The roads were TERRIBLE and most businesses were closed. Even the big factories that rarely ever close were shutdown. I was going to still try to go but then I couldn't even get my car out plus it was still a Level 3 Travel Advisory. Even now it is still a Level 2 advisory and the county just 10 miles or so south of me is still at a Level 3.
