Just watched the first episode.

Not only really damn good, but the most accurate fictitional depiction of professional wrestling I've seen, even moreso than the Wrestler. Heartbreakingly real - even moreso when you consider that the show doesn't revolve around a major federation, but rather a small family-ran Indy. I cannot recommend this show enough.

If you've seen it, what'd you think?

I thought it was great. It was very respectful to wrestling, very well written and well acted. And it's original, not like The Wrestler where it was very obvious what real wrestlers the characters were based on. Whoever wrote it is obviously a very big fan whereas Darren Arronofsky was just a casual fan who was more attracted to the darkness of the industry than showing it any respect.

Stephen Arnell is a huge fan and I think that's why so much respect was shown. Which I appreciate in spades - no pun intended.

I've downloaded the first episode but haven't watched it yet. I might just wait until a few eps have dropped so I can watch a bunch in a row.

The first episode did 128,000 viewers for the Sunday at 9 airing. But they had put it up to stream earlier so most people saw it that way.

And funnily enough CM Punk's episode will air against All Out.

CM punk was pretty damn good in this episode

Punk said the inspiration for his character is Tracy Smothers.

Just finished the series. No spoilers except the ladder match at the end is five stars for sheer emotion and actually made my eyes leek a little and I love this show so fucking much.
