So in the past few days trying to use the twitter app to follow links in emails has resulted in this message
'this file does not have an app accociated with it for performing this action. please instal an app or, if one already installed, create as association in the default apps settings page'
a DISM and sfc scan showed nothing & I aint sure why its dead all of a sudden. There is a regedit fix listed but I dont wanna mess with that unless I need to, or if it doesnt afect anything else, its not a mayor issue I guess but it is annoying to not be able to just click a link anymore & go strait to ther thing I want to look at. Simple fix or pain in the arse? (more of a pain for me was I dont read so good these days)
Is there a quick easy fix for this Twitter problem?

In file associations/default apps do html links have anything assigned? I believe in Windows 10 you can reset associations and default applications, might be worth checking out?

I googled it but didn't really find much. Skynet's solution seems to be the way to go.
