Looks like its time for a new phone

Post by Hawq »

Well looks like my old phone may be not so good anymore after I went to town to try to get soem help with it & it looks like a replacement is needed so I've had a look at the Samsung Galaxy A20e & the Sony Xperia L4 anyone got one of these & can give an opinion on what they are like to use? yes they're budget/lower mid range ones but my budget dont stretch to the fancy latest models & besides they'll do for what I want. I do kike that the Samsungs a bit cheaper but the Sony has more built in storage. Also mulling whether to stay pay as you go or go monthly contract, forget how much calls & texts they said one on offer at £9 a month was now but maybe a little tempting. If any of you have one of these phones let me know wha they'ye like to live with & use, if not then I dunno, maybe I'll flip a coin

They both look OK.

The Motorola Moto G8 is a good budget phone. The Realme C3 is also good and it's cheap. Both of those are Android 10.

I don't know about the A20e specifically, but I've had a lot of Samsung phones and in my experience they're good.

just gotta look into if theres a way to set the sd card as internal again yet or not as well, never understood why they took directly installing things on the sd card away, stupid decision by whoevers in charge of android

one thing making me lean towards the Sony is it has twice the internal storage, both take the sae size sd card, but then its only android 9 & the Samsung is 10 though I aint sure if 10 has any improvements that would be that noticable

I think the biggest reason to choose the Samsung over the Sony is because Samsung is the biggest cell phone maker on the planet. So the support for Samsung phones by default would be higher.

fresh choice now, to stick to ee or go to a pay monthly with BT, got the house phone & boradband with them so the fiver a month off the cost would be nice, best bit is if I miss the current offer of the cheapesr one (still unlimited texts & calls) it only rises from 8 quid a month to 9, gonna have to call em tomorrow to get more info I think. For some unkown reason even though BT bought ee they dont yet have the ee shops selling the BT mobile deals, just the internet, cant get my head round that one really
