YouTube suggested a new TOTP redub channel. Now I'm blissfully reminiscing my mid 20s when I'd get stoned and watch old clips on my gaming PC.

Yeah, I saw it, although I saw Tears For Fears when looking at other stuff at Amazon.

I don't really want to spend more than $30 on an LP. I'll wait for the next sale and see if some of them come down a bit more.

Did you get anything?
Not yet, but I dont know what I want to get. I was thinking of grabbing Metallica, unsure about anything else yet

EDIT: I got a mix of things

Iron Maiden
Tears for Fears
Boston
Rumours Fleetwood Mac

Ride the Lightning was sold out, it's more than I wanted to spend
Did you get yours, Z? I got my Fleetwood Mac the other week. Tears for Fears and Iron Maiden arrived. Well, it was supposed to. Instead I got what the label describes as "Womens Classic Black Layered Lace-up Goth Lolita Dress" worth $71.84 and "Purple Butterfly Earrings Singer Merch Album Earrings Acrylic Singer Album Inspirational Earrings Music Earrings" worth $8.78. I wanted the albums... :olol:

LOL :olol:

Are they going to replace them?

Tears For Fears hasn't arrived yet. It's coming from the US with four 4K blu-rays. Currently in NSW, so they should be here soon.

All I could ask for was a refund, or I'm too stupid to figure out the right option :olol: I've already taken it to the post office

I wondered why the package was soft when I opened it. I also wonder if it was someone's halloween costume and they got my albums instead :olol:

That's good. Although I assume the prices of the LPs have jumped back up, so that part sucks.

I was going to buy a huge stack of vinyls for $10-15 each.
But then they sold Jeff Wayne's Musical version of War of the Worlds before I got there so screw the whole thing!

Things like:
Phantom of the Opera, Evita, Cats, Chess, Jesus Christ Superstar, Jean-Michel Jarre's Oxygène and Équinoxe, The Alan Parsons Project tales of Mystery and the turn of a friendly card.

Those would have been a nice addition to Huuuuulaaaaaahhh!!! But without war of the worlds, it wasn't worth leaving the house.

I was also interested in No Jacket Required but for some reason the new LP has older Phil's head on the cover instead of the original picture, which I don't like.
When they reissued Phil's albums on CD, they had an updated photos of him on the covers too. I'm sure an original No Jacket Required wouldn't be too difficult to find as its one of his best selling albums.

100% chance Calavera can find one at the second hand shops he likes looking for stuff at.

I went to see my mom Saturday and ended up helping her move stuff out of a room and she had a ton of records in good condition. All the Marvin Gayes, all the Led Zeppelins, the US versions of The Beatles, A couple Prince (including Lovesexy!) It was pretty cool. I didn't notice NJR but I know she has it because she was a Phil Collins fan in the 80s.

I've been listening to the bloodhound gang. I forgot that after the novelty lyrics of the 90's, the music really started slapping in 2005-2015. I think America needs them back next year.

That's great, some of those records might be worth something, especially The Beatles if its certain pressings etc. Lovesexy's one of Prince's best albums, the original CD is just one continuous track too, but that's the way to really listen to an album, in its entirety as todays it more like listening to singles with individual songs on playlists etc.

Something to note too when collecting, try to find the original vinyl, as often times it'll be a much better mastering & more true to the original songs you know. Some albums weren't recorded analog too, they would be digital recordings which were cut onto vinyl. Some CDs were in the 80s too, if you listen they have a lower volume level, but mastering wise they are better than those from the "loudness wars" when with brickwalling everything was turned up to 11.

I think some vinyl reissues are using the CD masterings or digital streaming versions on vinyl too, unless they're recutting them all over again from the analog master tapes. Although in 2008 Universal Music lost thousands of masters so any on that label wouldn't be from the original tapes
