Yep, that's when it happened. The same time my PC crapped out, so it was a while ago now.

Ah. I guess it's been a while then. Was it a DB crash or something? If so, I figured it was only a matter of time with all the hacks you had on that old board.

The host updated php or did something and it screwed things up, including phpmyadmin.

I did eventually get the old forum running again on the computer, but by that stage we were already set up here so we just stuck with it.

Aren't you on Dreamhost? I am on Dreamhost as well and The Kickback (phpBB2) never went down (yes, it still exists!), although a few obscure functions throw errors.

I think the main problem was we had a ton of add-ons that weren't supported anymore.

Yeah we are on Dreamhost and LOL, I forgot about The Kickback.

As you and Roofus said, the add-ons we had probably were the main reason it ended up dying.
