Anyone here played Mafia: The Old Country? As a HUGE fan of the Mafia series it looks great to me. Let me clarify, when I say a huge fan of the series I mean of Mafia,Mafia II and the 2020 remake of Mafia. Not Mafia III, it sucks it turned out the way it did. A Mafia game set in the late 1960s could have been amazing but they ruined the gameplay. The Old Country looks pretty decent though. I guess some people are complaining about but it seems like that is mostly from people that don't have the attention span for story driven games. I've always enjoyed games with a good story more than just bang bang shoot'em up action.

I remember when I first played Headhunter on Dreamcast, the gameplay was good but so was the atmosphere and story. I tried to get my brother to play it and he was skipping through all the cut scenes and I remember thinking "you're missing out on so much!" It is a great game but if you cut out all the story it wouldn't be anywhere near as good.

But anyways Mafia: The Old Country, who has played and who is looking forward to playing it?

Meh. Loved the first Mafia, it remains the only single GTA clone to even be playable let alone good.

But after that ending I didn't need to play any more of the series.
I have seen the remake, and it looks so pretty, but I've already played the game, and it didn't need to be remade because it was good in the first place.

At the moment I'm playing a bunch of indie games while I wait for GTA 6... why would I want poor imitations of GTA when I've been waiting so long for the real thing now that a couple more years is just nothing.

Is the vita powerful enough to emulate it perfectly? Or was there an actual vita version?

It wouldn't surprise me to see it run the game well, but I didn't keep up with the vita modding scene.

It's an unofficial port of the PC version. You need to provide the files from the PC version and it turns out i bought it on steam in 2011. I haven't played much yet, but so far it seems perfect.
