I know basically nothing about coding or writing any kind of game or software but I thought I'd give it a try with ChatGPT. What I was asking was pretty simple I thought. I asked for it to write a few different programs that would run in Qbasic 1.1 only one of them would even launch and that was a shitty version of snake and the controls didn't work.
None of the other programs I tried to get it to write wouldn't work. Even simple things like "a program that draws colored lines on the screen" didn't work. I'd tell GPT what the error I was getting was and it would "fix it" only for it still to not work.
How are people using this for coding when it can't even handle Qbasic?

Update I told it to either write a simple program or a working program for a few retro computers like the Commodore 64 and Commodore PET and none of them worked. Didn't even get past the first line! Syntax Error in 10 for all of them.
