The optics aren't good, and apparently it's caused Reddit to lose their fucking minds but I think context is important.
He said "my heart goes out to you" tapped his chest and put a raised palm out... If he'd said "now Trump is in we're going to gas the Jews and put the trans in concentration camps" and held his arm out for more than half a second I'd be more inclined to believe it was intended as an actual Nazi salute.
He was just a guy who made an unfortunate movement and it's been taken the wrong way by people who aren't happy with him, or with Trump.
It's really no where near as bad as people make it seem...
Also in the same speech he was punching down at the ground! DISGUSTING! he WAS Mimicking domestic violence against women!!! There's the real news story.
