How come it ain't got no video outs? Sometimes you want to play a VR game but don't want to the wear the dern headset! That nintendo switch can be a console or a gameboy so why cat the occulus be a console too? You can hookup bulootooth controllers so that is a step in the right direction. What if I just want to use my headset as a super nintendo? Well I can't! No reason I shouldn't be able to hook it up to a TV with S-video and consolize it!
That is why I ended up returning mine. Those rollercoaster rides are ok with the helmet on but they'd be even better watching them on my TV. But nope! Occulus or Meta or whatever the heck they are called either couldn't be arsed and actually just forgot to put a s-video output.
At this poinst I'm thikninnnnnn bout getting a myberry pie and those saga mystro system 3d glasses and making my own VR. For hand inputs the sega sports ball trackball should work w onders.

Re: Major design flaw with the Occulus Quest 2
I still never got the darn thing to hook up to my VGA or CRT! So for now I suppose I'll have to use it all up on muh face. I've given up on video out for the moment and am focusing on hooking a Super Nintendo cartridge slot to it. Sure I can play SNES on it now using *shudders* roms *shudders* but that ruins the authentic experience. Those roms were dumped from some random cartridge that I most likely didn't even rent as a kid let alone own. I want to play my own roms with my own Super Punch-Out high scores.
After I get the cartridge slot working I'm going to move onto to adding SNES controller ports to it. If the 8-bit guy was able to put SNES ports on his dream puter Shirley I a humble Calavera can configure it to an Quest motherboard (mobo)
This is just the beginning. I figure SNES is the easiest console to start with to merge with a Quest 2. After I conquer that challenge the next move will be Sega Genesis 32X support! Metal Head will be awesome in VR dumped from muh own cartridge.
