A theft rather confused me today

So I'm working in the charity shop minding my own business doing the usual, pricing some stuff & serving people when a guy comes in & tells us a kids just made off with a pushchair/buggy that was outside & legged it round the corner to a waiting car. Aparantly when it was reported the cops know the car & that its from macclesfield or stocport, cop came took all the details & since it was stolen from a charity shop took a dimmer view about it than usual & said he'd bunp it up a bit (paraphrasing a little there). I didn't see the price tag but it cant have been more than about a tenner or at most £15 & they even left part of it, the cusiony bit, behind. Not sure I have the words to describe my thoughts on this one really other than there are some weird theives out there.

Very discerning charity shop theives too, by the sounds of it... Perhaps the cushion just wasn't to their personal taste!

You'd be surprised by some of the stuff they have in these charity shops in the UK. Sometimes there's some cool stuff in them and stuff which is rare and can't be found in the stores anymore. I've also seen brand new items like DVDs, CDs, Blu Rays, sneakers, designer clothes etc. Plus if you find something good the money goes direct to the charity so if I'm ever in the vicinity of a charity shop I like to check them out and see what they have. Also most don't take VHS anymore but they do take vinyl in and I have found some good ones in the past like "All things must pass" LP set by George Harrison which still had the original things inside.

Americans just give crap. Like a "1996 AFC Champion Pittsburgh Steelers" shirt, a Best of John Denver 8 track and a Gallagher comedy VHS tape from 1988. It's why our poor people are so angry.
