I suspect watching that will be the most emotionally draining television event since The Futurama episode Jurassic Bark, which aired around the same time I started watching Top gear.

Gainax went broke... In June... This year!
I could have sworn they went broke in like 2012. After Gurren Lagann and Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt ended and Anno got sick of propping up the company sending them dump trucks of money from his successful show that management would then pocket instead of using it to fund animation...
This is the most surprising timing of news ever. If I'd seen it in 2002-2015 I wouldn't be surprised, but 2024? God damn that Evangelion money really lasted, didn't it?
