This is the worst news, WTF? I’m so deeply saddened by this.

Sad news. I assume another similar site will pop up eventually.
The Internet Archive link in the news story has comments with links to pre-patched ROMs and ISOs on IA, which is nice.

It's hard to find good sources on what happened. The site owner says he was harassed, the staff says he wouldn't give up control.

Sounds like RHDN had a 007 error like DCEMU

Nice, it's only 11GB so I'll be sure to download that. It's also a funny feeling that the entirety of RHDN can fit on a cheap USB drive.Dr. Zoidberg wrote: Fri Aug 02, 2024 2:22 pm Sad news. I assume another similar site will pop up eventually.

It was the best thing ever associated with Gamestop. That also means the last piece of Funcoland is gone now. Those were the best stores around and the closest one to me was 4 hours away so it was an extra special treat.

Re: General Gaming Thread
Look, I will admit I had no love for Game Informer. I was a GamePro/Nintendo Power/EGM reader back in the day, and I never read it when I was a GameStop Pro member up in the early 2010s. The only thing I even remember from it was the April Game Infarcer.
But what GameStop just did? That was dirty. Real shitty. I understand if it was time to let Game Informer sunset. Give them a chance to make one final banger of a magazine and dissolve the business.
But to pull them into a room, say ‘you all are fired’, then close down the entire website and replace it with an AI written goodbye JPEG? To remove decades of people’s hard work and prevent preservation of ANY content? That’s just downright malicious.

Time after time, GameStop proves that they're rat bastards. I wish I would've read more GameInformer back in the 2000s. I misjudged them for years because they were owned by GameStop. EGM was my favorite back then.

I’m emptying my two GameStop gift cards and I’m cutting all ties with them. I’m done doing business with a company that straight hates it’s employees.
