Only 35 years? I would have guessed older.

Game Boy was a big deal for me. We had an NES but the Game Boy was my first system that was just mine. For a 6 year old, it was evolutionary that I could play Nintendo wherever and whenever without hogging up the TV. I played the hell out of Kirby Pinball and Mario Land 2 from the start. Link's Awakening was great, might've been the first RPG I ever finished.
The gargantuan accessories are hilarious. I had the Light Boy magnifier/light kit, the massive Game Genie (with built-in booklet holder), and eventually the Game Boy Camera and Printer.

I wanted one of the Play It Loud colors so bad. But I'm glad I waited for a Gameboy Color, that was another great machine.

I wanted the Green one so much, but I original one kept working. Same reason I never has a Gameboy Color.

My first Game Boy was the Play it Loud black. I only remember playing Donkey Kong Land on it, I honestly don’t think I used it much. I ended up selling it for a Game Boy Color and played that a lot more.

The Nintendo Game Boy has turned 35 years old and in todays episode we take a look at some of the most technically advanced Game Boy games on the system that push the hardware to its limits Please enjoy!
Let's take a second look at Nintendo's second game console. Yes, I've already published a Game Boy system retrospective. About 10 years ago. However, this new video covers the U.S. launch of the system rather than the Japanese—obviously it touches on a lot of the same material, but from a different angle... and with the added insight and detail that I've gleaned in a decade of putting together weekly retrospectives on systems from this era.
