Humanity is wasting AI

Post by ian »

Few things in this entire world shit me more than dead bugs and fingerprints on monitors.
When I see an insect flying within a metre of any screen I'm using I actively wish I could make the entire species extinct.

For all of humanities greatest achievements the fact we don't have invisible lasers that can shoot and vaporise any bug that comes within a centimetre of a screen surface (and also severely burn fingers of people who aren't the owner who try to touch the monitor surface) is disgraceful.

Almost as disgraceful as not being able to buy an AI powered bird allowance selector that could shoot crows, pigeons and mynahs down the instant they enter your airspace, but feed magpies, rosellas and lorikeets and be neutral to cockatoos, gallahs etc.

I know it's not hard to clean the bug off the screen and I keep screen cleaner and isopropyl within reach, but that's not the point!

Patent pending on AI pest control!

If I can tell the difference between a bug and an eye, modern computers should be able to.

Also.

An AI cockroach killing robot. It uses infrared sensors and computer magic to seek them out wherever they are and hunt them down, catch them, disenfect any surface area it detected them touching with isopropyl alcohol, then poison them while still trapped and dispose of the bodies down a gutter or something.
The robot is self charging and entirely autonomous, when it detects it's low on poison or sanitiser it can order more, sign for the delivery, open the packaging and replenish itself without the user having to do a thing.

We have a similar thing for rodents that can also climb into walls and roofs and remove dead and dying fucking animals before they stink up the entire fucking place.

Because no matter how clean I keep the house I keep seeing fucking cockroaches everywhere and rodents keep getting into the new roof. Fucking disgusting things that AI robots should be dealing with by this point, NOT ME.

It's the fucking future and robots still aren't making me breakfast because people are using them to do fun stuff like creative works instead... What a waste.
