Nothing planned here but surely some of you have some awesome plans and wild parties to go to this New Years. If so let's hear about it!
Roofus I'm gonna bring it up again. That New Years when we took over that random forum was amazing! I don't know why but I had so much fun doing that. I was sooooo disappointed when the owner of the forum caught on and deleted all of our topics. Too bad there aren't any screenshots or anything from that. I wonder what kind of stuff we were even posting about?
It is hard to believe that was 20 years ago. That is just insane! At that time I was all into the 80s which seemed like such a long ago time. When we were taking over that forum we were just as far away in time from 1983 as we were the current day!
A few friends are coming over to watch the Green Bay-Minnesota game. By 10 p.m. it'll be a race to see who can fall asleep first while drinking beer and Delta-9 drinks.

Let's find another dead forum
ha ha ha! That would be great trying to relive the good old days. Sadly I don't think I'd be nearly as entertained doing it as I was back then. I'd still participate though. I don't even remember how I found that forum. I think I just did a google search for "something" forums and almost immediately found that one.
Are there any posts on Dcemulation at all of us talking about it? I think they still have every post from the beginning. They never lost their usernames and passwords like we did here at BG. I feel like we might have also been talking to each other either on IRC or MSN Messenger while we were doing it but I can't remember for sure.
I think of all the communication tools that have come and gone before and since then and they're all meh, But MSN messenger? oh man, those were the days!

I miss MSN messenger!

MSN Messenger was great. You had some weirdos who didn't use it though. You'd tell them to add you on MSN messenger and they'd say I have Yahoo messenger!!! YAHOO?! Who the heck used Yahoo messenger? I did end up installing it, just to talk to those few people who had it instead of MSN. Then there was also ICQ. I really have no idea what that one was. I'd see people post add me on ICQ: 4983904790379047. So I guess it was like the Wii friends code of the 90s.

Only about 2 and a half hours to go. For those of us in this time zone anyway. @Roofus are you in the same time zone as me?
It is crazy that it is already 1 in the afternoon on the 1st in Australia.
I'm in California so it's a little before 7:00 here

Was watching some Failarmy and Idiots in Cars videos on Youtube Right now doing basically a whole lot of nothing. Might fire up Skies of Arcadia here in a few minutes. I started yet another play through of it. This has got to be like my 10th time playing through it! As much as I'm a fan of the Dreamcast I go with the Gamecube version nowadays since it has extra content.
The last time I played it a few years ago I tried out something called "The Maeson Mod". It was supposed to make the game more difficult than the base version. There were several places praising it and calling it a must have and the best way to play SOA. I played through until the end with it but I was pretty dissapointed with it. Not only does it not make the game any more difficult it makes it much easier! The first thing I noticed when playing was that it gives you tons of moonberries (you use them to learn super moves). They also lowered the amount of spirit point it takes for some super moves. For example Aika's Lambda Burst costs 8 spirit points in the original version but only costs 3 in the Maeson Mod. So early on I was able to just steam roll through all the battles using Lambda Burst.
Another thing they changed was the sky fish you can catch. In the original they did nothing and their only use was to be sold for extra gold. In the mod some of them heal you but others add a permanent +15HP or +1MP to whichever character you choose. There are areas where you can just farm the shit out of them. They respawn after a random battle so if you wanted you get a TON of extra HP and MP. I thought that was an odd addition to a mod that is supposed to make the game harder.
It is a shame because I wouldn't mind the game being a bit more difficult. I realize I went way off topic and started talking about Skies of Arcadia for no reason But I've been known to do that from time to time.
It's now the 2nd here (on the east coast). I hope all the Americans are still enjoying their fresh new year, while over here it's already crusty and disappointing. Like all the other new years. The sheen has worn off the new year and it's back to normal.

Ah crap I just realized I missed 3AM. @Roofus Happy 1 hour and 2 minutes into the New Year!
It's ok. I fell asleep ten minutes before midnight.
My wife came to bed 6 minutes before midnight, woke me up to tell me it was almost new years, and then promptly started snoring 4 minutes before midnight. I was like, you were minutes away from midnight, why not just see it through to the end?
