So you've just solved the powder vs liquid debate forever. powder wins because it can't ruin games, movies or CD's unless there is a flood. At which point you have bigger problems.
Also, well done on Happy Gilmore...YA JACKASS!!!

Ran out of games to collect so now starting on movies? That's quite a good haul of great movies there.

They were bought over the past month or two. All of the non-4K stuff (except for WWE Bischoff) is second hand, so fairly cheap.
I will buy a few more things over the next few months.

South Park Season 25 on DVD. I still really miss having the mini commentaries.
I would really, REALLY like to hear Trey and Matt's commentary for the whole Token Black episode. I mean Tolkien Black episode... I am the problem and a horrible, horrible person!
I also spite purchased some DVD's at the same time. Futurama Season 1,2,3 and 4.
As you all will know, I've owned every single piece of Futurama merchandise ever made (Even Funko pops. And not figuratively, ACTUALLY LITERALLY EVERYTHING bar 4 items) But the only 4 things I've never gotten were the individual slimline new releases of the first 4 seasons on DVD. Well now I have.
I've now owned literally. LITERALLY! every Futurama item ever released... Like, In the entire world. EVER. Calendars to toys, Comics to Pop out people, fucking PSP UMD's to VHS to VCD's to DVD's to BLURAYS... God damn Monopoly sets (Thanks Roofus) to bobble heads limited to 480 pieces ever made.
ALL OF IT... I've owned ALL of it at one point or another.
IF Disney are done with Physical media, Then I am done with fucking Disney.
YOU DON'T FUCK WITH MY FUTURAMA COLLECTION, AND YOU NEVER DENY ME THE ABILITY TO BUY FUTURAMA THINGS YOU COCKKNUCKLED SHITSTAINED CUNTRAGS! Even if I'm not watching the new episodes, I WANT THEM, FUCK YOU DISNEY! I've unsubbed from plus too. I was going to stay subscribed till they cancelled Futurama, but denying me the ability to own Futurama disgusts me to such a degree that I simply couldn't do it.
If Disney do a 180, and give me my Futurama physical media, I'll be there in a heartbeat... Deny me, and they can go and get fucked for the next 2977 years.
I am Sure Disney won't miss the $1500AUD/year they've lost. (if I average how much I've spent on all my Futurama Stuff over the past 20 years, it's actually over $1500 for each year)
But the amount I've spent on Futurama stuff in the past 20 years could probably have gotten 1 executive a nice bonus...That's gone.
I may love Futurama, but I'm the most spiteful person in the entire world... Even Comedy Central would still be paying for cancelling Futurama with me not buying South Park DVD's, but South Park was here first. I vote with my wallet. Give me Futurama = SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY! Deny me Futurama = GO TO HELL, HEATHER!

But I already have the DVD's. I haven't shopped with Amazon much at all since they came to Australia. (I've got a switch, and a PS4, and and some odd games here and there when they've been cheaper than bricks and mortar) It used to be good because prices were reasonable and delivery was fast from U.S Amazon, locally they're a bit shit by every conceivable metric. But if they have these timeless masterpieces, perhaps they're getting good...
Son, where did you get that Bluray set?
My mom gave it to me!
Can I borrow it?
SURE!

That's not true, I get next day delivery on most things from Amazon Australia, if the stuff is based in Australia. Stuff from OS takes a bit longer but it's not that bad.ian wrote: Thu Aug 24, 2023 5:04 pm It used to be good because prices were reasonable and delivery was fast from U.S Amazon, locally they're a bit shit by every conceivable metric.
Police Academy has dropped in price by 67 cents since I ordered it. I have been screwed!

It's free delivery with Prime. Don't know how much it is without Prime but it shouldn't be hard to get a free trial.

I had prime when they first got the grand tour here. But after I only bought like 2 things from them, and prime had nothing else aside from the grand tour. I never took it up again. A bit like eBay plus. Used it for a year, saw how little it gave me and never bothered with it again.
Next day delivery is well and good until they ship you the console next day, but not the games in the same order till 3 days later!

I got eBay Plus for $5 for the year in January. Very good value at that price.
I buy a fair bit from Amazon so Prime has been good. Prime Video is just a bonus.

It does interest me, but not quite as much as the box sets or movies buy one get one free sales. usually I use the TV shows 2 for 1 to grab various animes for a non stupid price, but I've been out of touch with anime for like 7 years now, but I'll see if I can find something good. Only other TV shows I either have all I want, or they've stopped releasing them half way through and I'm not falling for that again until I can get every season.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles 4K (Blu-ray)
I finally bought a movie on Blu-ray. I don't have a 4K player (yet) but we were watching it on Plex the other night. I still laugh, especially during the Wichita hotel room scenes. I keep thinking I should have more physical media for the big and important movies, and it was 43% off on Amazon with 1-day shipping.
