They've announced a trailer?
So basically an announcement that there will be an announcement...
The trailer is gonna be 10 seconds of rockstar logo, 10 seconds of gameplay and 10 seconds of fine print and even if it has a date, it's going to be stupid far away isn't it?
But holy shit, the click baiting bullshit artists who've had a field day with "leaks" for the last 10 years will be in fucking meltdown!
Also. Why does the game need a trailer at all let alone the FIRST trailer??? Literally every single human being alive knows what GTA is because it's been a million fucking years since the last game.
I honestly don't know why they're bothering with trailers at all?
Literally every single person aged 12 or older on the entire planet knows what it is, and even if they surprise launched it they could still make 2 3rds of all the earths money in the first 24 hours and after a single week no one will have any money except rockstar and the makers of devices that play GTA 6 and their suppliers.
The world will grind to a halt. Even people waking up from 9 year comas will be wanting to see how many new GTA games they have to play and when the answer is fucking none, that will just make them want 6 all the more.
Assuming there are roughly 8 billion people on the planet, rockstar can expect sales in the first year to be 8.5 billion, and that's on the lighter side of the total projected sales.
Spending time, money or effort on ANY marketing at all is just a total waste.
They should spend the marketing money on more play testers so it won't need a day one update and has Multiplayer on day one this time, unlike a decade ago with the last time they tried...
...
...
Or I'm completely wrong and all of humanity is extinct by the time its out because they've been milking GTA 5 for that many ice ages and we'll see the biggest gaming crash in history because no one will be left alive to buy it.

So will you buy it @Ian?
I will probably buy between 1 and 3 copies depending on platform. But not buying as many copies as I did of GTA5 (6 copies on 3 different platforms) because they put their logo on the Remastered trilogy and tarnished their otherwise perfect reputation for making good games.
The trailer has dropped. Yep, it sure looks like a GTA game.
2025. No specific date, so hopefully that doesn't slip out to 2026.
It's just playing dirty using Tom Petty in first trailer, and it's also going to make the rest of the soundtrack have a lot to live up to, that it just won't be able to.
