I thought it was Bob Bakker the world renowned Palaeontologist. What a relief when I saw who it was.

I didn't realize the Smash Mouth story was so dark. Apparently his child died from cancer and he began heavily drinking for the past 20 years which led to his current liver failure.

Re: Celebrity Death Thread
I'll watch Rat Race and have a shot of vodka in his honour. But in fact it's just an excuse to watch Rat Race, not that I need an excuse to watch Rat Race, it's fucking amazing and I watch it every few years anyway.
He showed the world you don't have to kill yourself, you can die inside and patiently wait to die for 20+ years.
A true hero.

RIP dude from Smash Mouth
I never knew your name until yesterday. You might not have been the sharpest tool in the shed, but you made some good songs.

That and a childhood filled with AOR/Classic Rock radio. I've got really good memories of listening to Love Is Alive in college too.

He was one of three pillars of football when I was growing up. The others were Mick Malthouse and Kevin Sheedy. L

Rest in peace to the best Top Gear corner!
And even though the show died in 2015, he'll always be remembered though his corner.
