I'm extremely happy that this photo exists and that the Stern Pinball social media had it ready.

Had a minor thing for her as a teenager. Talented soul. Had a lot of pain. I hope she's found peace. RIP

Everyone who sang Nothing Compares 2 U are now dead (Prince, Chris Cornell and now Sinead.)

I loved Nothing compares. I also love the Sam Newman take of it when he had his hair shaved off.

She was right. It's fascinating to look back on how lambasted she was while also seeing very little criticism towards the actual child abuse claims. All I remember here in Backwater USA was, "Lol uppity bald woman doesn't like religion."
You could go on national TV and make a provocative statement like that and see no critical response; just blind refusal and dismissal.
And kudos to Letterman's team for getting this posted:

She was right, but John Paul was beloved much more than Benedict or the current guy.pixel wrote: Fri Jul 28, 2023 5:58 am She was right. It was funny when Madonna was on the next week and ripped a picture of Joey Buttafuoco.

Big Adventure and Big Top Pee Wee were popular in our house growing up. The former is still one of my favorites, almost all the scenes are great. Big Top was ... not as great.
I remember the Saturday morning show too, CBS had a stone-cold lineup back then. I have a vague memory of my 11-year-old sister trying to explain why it got cancelled after his porno theater debacle.
Edit: Had to check the 1990 CBS lineup and yeah, that shit was good.

Re: Celebrity Death Thread
There was a theory he did it on purpose knowing Pee Wee would be finished. I don't know if I believe that because he didn't do much to make up the amount of money he lost. But maybe he thought he'd be edgy and in demand for adult roles (not the kind he jacked off to.)pixel wrote: Tue Aug 01, 2023 6:09 am Big Adventure and Big Top Pee Wee were popular in our house growing up.
