Pong was first released in 1972....

But not a lot of new games were coming out in the early 70s so I'd say Pong was still a fairly popular game in 1978 and 1979. Cheech and Chong Up in Smoke came out in 1978 so...... why didn't they ever make Cheech and Pong!

Like instead of the paddles it would be joints and they could say the square ball you were hitting back and forth was a quaalude

Then in the 80s instead of Pac-Man they could have had Chong Chomper. Where you were Sir Thomas Chong going around a maze eating little white pills.

Then and then! After that Cheech-Bert! Cheech is having a bad trip man and all the different colors is wiggin' him out! He needs you to help him change all the blocks to the same color.

The final game in the series would come out in 1987 and be called "One in the Chong and two hits on the bong!" It would be like Operation Wolf mixed with Final Lap and Double Dribble.

They were too stoned to do all of that.

The sequel to Cheech and Pong would be Donkey Chong.

Your right hand paddle AKA natural weed joint has been kidnapped by the left hand paddle AKA evil synthetic weed joint and you must guide the ball up the maze past all the bowls and bongs being rolled down at you.
Of course with a rolling bong, they can go anywhere so it would be quite a difficult game to master.

Instead of Pong hitting a ball back and forth, it should have been two stoners passing a joint and with each pass the screen gets more blurred and warped.
