Done. That changer at 13:20 is pretty cool. I've never seen one of those before.

I haven't done much Betamax stuff lately but I did just buy 2001: A Space Odyssey (Deluxe Letterbox Edition) on Laserdisc for $5.

After watching this I decided to finish a little Beta project I was wanting to do. I recorded the 4K version of Back to the Future onto a L-500 Beta tape recorded in Beta II mode. I was wondering how good a Beta recording could look if it had a good source. It actually looks pretty good MUCH better than the commercial pre-recorded tapes I have. Although they might not look as good as they did new since they are around 40 years old now. I'll take a video of it playing so you have an idea of what the quality is. Because I know you all are very interested in knowing that!

Unfortunately the video quality doesn't come through very well at all in this video. It looks much better in person.




Here is a pic of the TV I was using and my crappy labels. I kind of like how the case looks though. The crappiness is part of the charm!

It still looks surprisingly good. I bet your source was better than the one they used to make the commercial tape.
