Re: Red Dwarf Thread (Spoilers)
hmmm. So what did I get??
Was great quality, no channel idents... Watched on a 4K TV, looked amazing (1.2GB each part)
Such a big deal for being feature length though. It's Red Dwarf's first feature length production!!!... If you ignore Back in the Red parts 1,2, and 3, and Pete parts 1 and 2 from 1999... And ignore Back to Earth from 2009.
Aside from those 2 feature length stories that have existed for more than TWENTY YEARS and one that has existed for more than a DECADE, this first ever feature length Red Dwarf was pretty good...
couple of things though: why did Kryten look all banged up? I know he needed a service, but he wasn't all banged up and dirty in series 12... So why don't we see him becoming derelict? and when is Lister getting Kochanski back?
ALSO, in the intro, it said the cats now roam in deep space in a fleet of their own... NO, only HALF of the cats are in a fleet, the other half of the cats flew straight into a moon (or was it a sun) leaving the ones who believed in Cloister to fly on forever, knowing they were indeed righteous!
I am just concerned that someone now watching it, will get the wrong story!

Re: Red Dwarf Thread (Spoilers)
original Kochanski is best Kochanski, that is all, apart from my friendship with my collection of singing potatoes which keeps me sane

Re: Red Dwarf Thread (Spoilers)
my pick for the best memories are series 1,2,3,4, or maybe 5, 6, 7 or 8. Outside: back to earth, 10, 12 or the promised land... BUT DON’T HOLD ME TO IT!
That’s mine, this is mine, ALL THIS IS MINE. Except for that bit, I don’t want that bit (season 11)

Re: Red Dwarf Thread (Spoilers)
Ah yes, the classic red dwarf phrase:
Smoke porn actress a goalie I'll be back for break Fastest sprinter in the world!
Even when I know what the answer is those say what you see puzzles make no fucking sense.

Re: Red Dwarf Thread (Spoilers)
So there'll be real Doug Naylor Red Dwarf, and Off brand Rob Grant Red Dwarf?
Why was there a rights dispute? I thought Rob Grant abandoned it after series 6 because he wanted something other than Red Dwarf on his tombstone?
So now he can have the guy who co-created Red Dwarf, left it for more than 20 years, did nothing else and then tried to stop Red Dwarf from existing on his tomb instead...
What a Smeg head!

Re: Red Dwarf Thread (Spoilers)
Of course lister isn't dying, he dies age 171 removing a bra with his teeth.
And I'm all for animated red dwarf, they need to start by doing Identity Within.
The storyboard drawings and Chris Barrie doing the whole thing was good, but with proper animation and a full cast with a real production, it would be fantastic!
