So we're getting a 4 day Weekend in Melbourne.

The 22nd (Thursday) has been deemed a public holiday for 'in memoriam of the life and death of queen Elizabeth II and all of the things she done did'

And people are complaining... Who the fuck complains about either a day off, or extra pay for working a public holiday?

It's a 4 day weekend because the 23rd is 'the Friday before the AFL Grand final' (yes this is a real holiday in Victoria)

Now if we could just get a 'Monday after the AFL Grand final and the Queen is now dead so you need time to nurse your hangovers from all this time off' public holiday. It would be perfect.

While we're making and changing holidays just because, I would bring in another holiday for later in the year 'The Monday before the Melbourne Cup horse race, and no one's gonna go to work anyway because fuck it, they have a day off on Tuesday so they deserve a 4 day weekend without using holiday pay' public holiday.

I should be put in charge of public holidays...
We'll keep the Queen's birthday public holiday as a sign of respect, and we'll add the King's birthday public holiday at the same time we start making all the new coins.

Maybe the next time Australia gets someone like Scott Morrison, the king, who has actual balls can kick his smug useless ass to the fucking curb before we all get dicked over again, does the King have power to execute people? If so that'd save a lot of money.
