For someone who has never played a Persona game would you recommend I start with 4 or 5? If I play 4 I'll be playing the PC version. If I play 5 I'll have to emulate it with RPCS3. I've never tried PS3 emulation before but looking on youtube there are videos of it running pretty much perfectly on specs lower than my system. So I should have no problem running it.
So what dya say? Foe or Five?
Thinking about trying out these Persona games I hear so much about. 4 or 5?

I have a very strong opinion on these games as they are some of my favorite games out there. They are both fantastic for entirely different reasons. 4 has some of the best characters in gaming and the whodunnit mystery story is great all the way to the end. But being a 15 year old RPG, it's gameplay and randomly generated dungeons are downright archaic compared to Persona 5's awesome dungeons and combat system. Persona 5 looks and plays far better, and it has a sense of style that just doesn't exist in other games. But the characters just didn't stick with me the way P4 did, and when you are playing a game that's 30% dating sim, that's really important. Plus once you play P5, you might not like downgrading to the dated P4. If you really intend on playing both, start with 4. Otherwise, choose if you'd rather go with style and gameplay, or story and characters.
No matter what you choose, though, be aware that they are both slow burns. It takes a TON of hours to get hooked. Both games don't start getting really interesting until at least 10 hours in, and they both are 80+ hours long. And one final note, I don't know if Persona 5 Royal released on PS3, but if it did, skip it. I hated the Royal content, and they changed the ending to something completely different and stupid.
