Crushed. Literally stopped breathing for a second and then my eyes leaked when I read this earlier. Been an unapologetic fan of his for almost 25 years and now I need to reread his book. This one is Owen and Eddie level gutwrenching to me

Jim said New Jack told him he was the happiest he'd ever been in his life 2 weeks before he died. That's sad but it's always better to die satisfied, I guess. It still feels weird that he's gone since I've been following his career since 1996 (we didn't get Smoky Mountain on TV in my area, so I didn't see him until ECW.) I remember laughing when Weezer name dropped him on El Scorcho when it came out on the radio in 96.

RVD, Sandman and Blue Meanie held an event in the ECW Arena and had them play Natural Born Killaz one last time.

Just reread his book. Hit me hard that behind the thuggish persona of his wrestling self, there's actually a really good guy there that went out of his way to help younger people in the business. I thought it interesting that several times in there, he mentioned regretting that he couldn't show more of his wrestling skills because people expected weapons, blood, and guts from him all the time.

RIP buddy.

It has been a year since his passing. I miss him. Poor guy was in the middle of a career revival when he passed away.
