What ad blockers do you use?

A forum for video games, new & retro, on consoles, computers, handheld & mobile. Also for tech talk, things like PC parts, phones etc.

I use PiHole. YouTube ads are hard to stop though, so you might just be out of luck.

I also use uBlock origin. I was thinking of setting up PiHole but I do have Youtube Premium or whatever they call it these days because $3 a month (shared with 6 people total) is really worth it to me.

I have a PiHole set up to filter my phones, but honestly PiHole kinda sucks nowadays. Many companies have changed the way ads are served by having them come through their own host name, which means PiHole cant block them without blocking the whole site. I’d say it only catches about 70% of the ads now.

I've switched to using Brave Browser instead of Chrome. It has a built-in ad blocker, which seems to work okay but I think there are still some white-listed ads.

I also have YouTube Premium, so that's taken care of. The only time I notice ads is when watching Forensic Files on PlutoTV or watching Big Brother on the local CBS affiliate.
