Yes he did and it's probably the most credible NX rumour up to this point.

They go on about Gamestop having to resurface discs that are in bad shape, which is true with CDs & DVDs, but it's not like they would have to spend much time fixing up blu rays.

Ubisoft: Nintendo Is “One Of The Best Partners In The World”

We know that Ubisoft have always been strong Nintendo supporters, while their output may have wained in recent years, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot still claims that the Kyoto based company is one of the best partners in the world. We know that Ubisoft currently has Just Dance 2017 in development for the Nintendo NX and was one of the first games announced for the platform during E3 in June.

“You can expect we’ll support Nintendo. Nintendo is one of the best partners in the world.”

“We could see it wasn’t selling as fast as expected, so we reorganized around other platforms. With the Wii U, we were able to relaunch Rayman 2D. It was a good thing for the company and the brand and its fans. If you remember, it was supposed to be Wii U exclusive, but we made it multi-platform when we saw it wasn’t selling fast enough. The Wii U has done quite well. It’s still a Nintendo machine with lots of great franchises, and we’ve sold lots of copies of Just Dance on it.”

mynintendonews

One thing I always found a bit weird about Rayman Legends and Deus Ex (Which are both excellent BTW) both started off as Wii U exclusives, Rayman was practically finished when they decided to go multiplat, but Ubisoft and Square had no problems porting from the Wii U to Playstation and Xbox (took them about six months), they only had issues the other way around.

As stated above, Ubisoft only planning to release Just Dance for NX thus far, the rumours around Beyond Good an Evil 2 is that Nintendo are publishing the game, they don't want a repeat of Rayman and Deus Ex this time around.

Having Ubisoft commend your gaming company is like having a pedophile tell your daughter she's cute.

While you appreciate the compliment, its best if they shut their mouth and go die in a hole somewhere.

EA are pretty similar in regards to their "Strong Partnership" with Nintendo, which seems to consist of openly mocking the hardware before it's even released and then crying about sales when nobody buys their games.

Start the rumor mill! Eurogamer says the NX will be a tablet with removable controllers. They also think it'll use a Tegra chip from Nvidia.

Eurogamer wrote:Nintendo's upcoming NX will be a portable, handheld console with detachable controllers, a number of sources have confirmed to Eurogamer.

On the move, NX will function as a high-powered handheld console with its own display. So far so normal - but here's the twist: we've heard the screen is bookended by two controller sections on either side, which can be attached or detached as required.

Then, when you get home, the system can connect to your TV for gaming on the big screen.

A base unit, or dock station, is used to connect the brain of the NX - within the controller - to display on your TV.

For more on the console's power, Digital Foundry has a deep-dive look at the chip Nintendo has chosen as the centrepiece of NX, according to numerous well-placed sources: Nvidia's powerful Tegra mobile processor.

NX will use game cartridges as its choice of physical media, multiple sources have also told us.

Considering NX's basis as a handheld first and foremost, the choice may not come as too much of a surprise - although we have heard the suggestion Nintendo recommends a 32GB cartridge, which is small when considering the size of many modern games.

Naturally, we expect digital game downloads will also be available. We were told Nintendo considered but then decided against making a system which supported digital downloads only.

It's not the first time cartridge-based media has been mooted for NX. Back in May, eagle-eyed fans spotted The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's trademark included cartridge-based games. This was a change from Nintendo's usual wording for home console trademarks, which only refer to digital downloads and discs.

Due to the radical change in hardware design and internal technology, we've been told by one source that there are no plans for backwards compatibility.

Another source said the system would run on a new operating system from Nintendo. It won't, contrary to some earlier rumours, simply run on Android.

Inside the NX, as stated above, the system will harness Nvidia's powerful mobile processor Tegra. Graphical comparisons with current consoles are difficult due to the vastly different nature of the device - but once again we've heard Nintendo is not chasing graphical parity. Quite the opposite, it is sacrificing power to ensure it can squeeze all of this technology into a handheld, something which also tallies with earlier reports.

Finally, we've heard from one source that NX planning has recently moved up a gear within Nintendo ahead of the console's unveiling, which is currently slated for September.

After the confused PR fiasco of the Wii U launch, the company is already settling on a simple marketing message for NX - of being able to take your games with you on the go.

Nintendo always designs its hardware to show off specific game concepts - and it remains to be seen how the system will showcase the next Mario, or even how the NX version of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - the only first-party game confirmed so-far - may differ when played on the device.

Previously, however, we've heard reports of various Wii U games reappearing as updated NX ports - Splatoon and Smash Bros. have both been mooted. And then there's Pikmin 4, which Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed to Eurogamer just over a year ago.

Otherwise, several third parties have announced their plans for the system, which you can read about - as well as proposed release plans - in our piece that rounds up everything we know about the NX so far.

"Nintendo has not made any new official announcements regarding NX which is due to launch in March 2017," a Nintendo spokesperson told Eurogamer when contacted about this story. "As such [we're] unable to comment on the various rumours and speculations circulating."

Yeah, this is exactly what I wanted the Wii U Gamepad to be. I'm cautiously excited for this, but I worry that Nintendo will have a huge challenge selling this over the pile of Android tablets on the market. If it looks like another cheap toy like the Gamepad did, Nintendo will be in trouble.

It could run on Android with an Internet-based authorization system, but that would open the system wider than the Dreamcast.

I don't like that the controller comes off. Besides that, it could be alright.

You didn't post the most important thing from the article page, pixel.

The Nintendo NX price will be “cheaper than even the vast majority expect,” according to a new report.

We reported yesterday that the NX will be a "dedicated home and portable game platform with detachable controllers," and now it seems it'll be quite cheap too.

“Early online speculation about pricing for the NX expects it to be cheaper than current consoles, but from what we’ve heard it’s going to be cheaper than even the vast majority expect,” MCV said in a new report. “This is a machine that is targeting the mass market, and Nintendo certainly plans for it to have a mass market price. Price is one Wii U mistake Nintendo is determined not to repeat. This could be NX’s single biggest win.”

The thought of a cheap console that you can take with you and plug into your TV at home sounds interesting. Let's just hope that it has the quality to match.

Nintendo NX Rumoured To Use Nvidia’s Pascal GPU Architecture

With Nintendo NX details scarce it should be no surprise that more information is coming out of the woodwork. The latest unconfirmed rumour is that Nintendo’s next generation gaming platform the Nintendo NX will use Nvidia’s Pascal GPU architecture. Of course we won’t know whether this is true until the machine is officially unveiled by Nintendo later this year.
