It should work well with Wii games on the Wii U.

Re: General Gaming Thread
Actually, the first video you posted said that it won’t. He said that because the Wii U outputs Wii at 1080p, the scaler thinks there’s nothing to improve.

OH OK, I must have missed that bit. That sucks, although I also have a HDMI adapter for the Wii.melancholy wrote: Fri Aug 02, 2019 3:22 pm Actually, the first video you posted said that it won’t. He said that because the Wii U outputs Wii at 1080p, the scaler thinks there’s nothing to improve.

Re: General Gaming Thread
The majority (if not all) of Wii U games are native 720p anyway and are upscaled to 1080p, so if you're using an external upscaler, it would make sense to change the resolution.
Sane goes for Wii mode, it would probably be better to switch to 480p, although I think the Wii U does a decent job on Wii games anyway.

As one of the videos pointed out (and something I missed the first time) since this device upscales everything that runs through an HDMI port, you could essentially plug it into a HDMI switch and subsequently upscale everything that comes through that switch. So I could upscale my 360, Wii, Wii U, PS3, and my OG Xbox using only one of these devices attached to my 5 port switch.

Mixer is the place to be now apparently, and with all the edgelords moving to bitchute and DLive. YouTube will just be "make up vids" and "promoted content" in a couple of years.
Hopefully HCG and Metal Jesus Sucks don't realise this until it's too late

That’s pretty close to the estimates of $30 million. You got to consider, Ninja was making ~$6 million a year on Twitch just from subscribers, donations and ad revenue alone. That amount doesn’t include his sponsorships, merchandise, event appearances, etc. So to pull him off a platform where he’s making $500,000 a month (which he stated in an interview) a move him to a platform where he has no recognition, Microsoft had to pay up something huge. $50 million is likely only 5 years worth of income for Ninja.Dr. Zoidberg wrote: Mon Aug 05, 2019 5:01 pmI didn't really care about this news until seeing the first tweet just now. $50+Million!?! IGN claimed Wal Mart was banning M Rated games but they now deny it. I'll bet the executives of Gamestop walked around rock hard for an hour thinking about that Call Of Duty money they were about to get.

IGN posted the story because a spokesman for Walmart said it was true. Then once the story gained attention, Walmart immediately contacted IGN and said that spokesman was wrong.

It's funny he's doing a video on that now, because I've been getting ready to buy something similar from Aliexpress over the past couple of weeks for the Pixel 2. I'll probably get a new phone at the end of the year but I don't want to shove the P2 in a draw due to how much it cost, so was looking around for something to make it easier to use as a media/emulator player and found this:

I bought a similar device on Amazon and it works pretty well. I bought as a mobile Switch dock, but all those brick warnings have me too scared to try it again.
Media playback through Plex was wonky and didn't work as well as I had hoped
I was hoping I could use DeX as a media player on the go, but getting video to play fullscreen with the right framerate can be tricky.

I guess it can be used for Switch as well, didn't think about that.
Just looking at AliX, they do have a lot of Switch docks on there. Look at this steamy one!

Just be careful what you plug your Switch into, bad voltages can brick a system
