Probably Billy Gunn, too. He's been fired long enough.

Probably. Although he might be a bit too old for them.

According to Meltzer on WOR, WWE have talked to MVP, Carlito and Dancin' Stevie Richards about coming back.

Our long, international nightmare is over.*

*Until Ambrose goes with that title to Smackdown and they make a Raw one for Reigns.

At least we have a year off of hearing "Is he going to cash it in?".

And if there is separate titles for each show, Cena will probably be the one to get it for SD.

-- On Monday morning, WWE.com announced the official date of their upcoming draft.

The official WWE website announced Monday morning that the WWE Draft will take place on the first-ever live Tuesday night edition of SmackDown on the USA Network on July 19th. The draft will be conducted by the RAW and SmackDown General Managers.

“This is an exciting new era for WWE in which we will yet again reinvent ourselves by creating a second night of compelling live television,” said WWE Executive Producer Kevin Dunn.

“We’re already hearing the excitement among WWE fans for SmackDown’s new live format, and our audiences are eagerly anticipating the live Draft and what it means for their favorite Superstars,” said Chris McCumber, President, Entertainment Networks, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment.

List of people Forbes says WWE has called: Goldberg, Mysterio, Morrison, Shelton, Angle, Jeff Hardy, and Cryme Time.

I don't know if I believe that. Most of those guys either have deals with TNA or AAA/LU. And no way they want JTG back after that book. And Goldberg does not work cheap. He only wants a Brock type deal where he makes a million bucks to work 4 matches. Although if they did Taker vs Goldberg at Mania it would be worth it for WWE.

WWE should give Sara Del Rey a shot on the main roster if they need more wrestlers due to the brand split. Or at least on NXT.

-- AJ Styles was originally expected to be a mid-level wrestler with WWE, working low on the card and perhaps working his way up to the middle tier. However, after his reaction at the Royal Rumble and more so at house shows, WWE now considers him one of the company's top five regular stars.

-- Despite rumors of his return, it sounds like Kurt Angle will not be coming back to WWE. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter claims that the Olympic gold medalist won't be working for WWE again any time soon.

Meltzer says that WWE officials confirmed on Thursday that Angle will not be joining the company for their upcoming brand split.

Angle stirred up the rumors on Monday on Mark Madden's Pittsburgh radio show, saying that he had talked to Triple H and a deal was in place. The story grew to the point where there were even rumored start dates for Angle.

Angle, 47, finished up his TNA contract in March of this year, and hasn't worked with WWE since August of 2006. Despite announcing he would retire for a year, he's been working select indy dates with the likes of Rey Mysterio Jr.

According to the PW Torch, Vince McMahon is planning a redemption storyline upon Reigns’ return from suspension. The story would have Reigns down due to his Wellness Policy violation then find a way to get back to where he was before and be even better than he was. Vince reportedly feels that if he creates a story in the way he would want it told, he may finally get fans to buy into Reigns and cheer for him.
Or maybe it will just get the fans chanting "Roman does drugs! Roman does drugs! Roman does drugs!"

Supposedly Brock was asked about Stephanie saying WWE didn't support his fight and he said "Who gives a shit what Stephanie thinks." The man is a god.

-- According to several reports going around online, wrestling legend Yoshihiro Tajiri has signed a new deal with WWE and will remain on with the company following the upcoming Cruiserweight Classic. Wrestlezone has reached out to WWE for comment and will update this post if any new information becomes available.

Tajiri, 45, left WWE in 2005 and other than an appearance at the 2006 ECW One Night Stand PPV, has not been back in an on-screen role with the company since. He has since worked all around the world, including TNA, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and ended up signing a deal with Wrestle-1. According to reports, Tajiri’s contract with Wrestle-1 expired earlier this week and he will not be renewing, along with AKIRA, Minoru Tanaka, Ryota Hama and Nakanokami Yasushibun, who are all leaving the promotion.

Tajiri is a 3-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion, 2-time WWE tag champion, and a former WWF Light Heavyweight Champion, ECW tag team and television champion, WCW United States Champion, and CMLL Light Heavywight Champion. No word on whether WWE intends to use him as an active wrestle or in a backstage role or developmental trainer, if indeed the rumors are confirmed.
