I think it must have been a heart defect. They found no pill bottles or illegal drugs in his room and people who knew him said he wasn't even a big drinker (which is rare in baseball because those boys love their booze.) So it looks like the same thing with Darryl Kile years ago where he just had a heart attack young. Were PEDs involved like with wrestlers, that's another story.

Yea that seems likely to be that cause unfortunately. The Angels paid tribute to Tyler and hung his jersey in the dugout

Totally agree. Was he prescribed Fentanyl or did he obtain it via other source(s)?. That drug is lethal, its 80 to 100 x more potent than morphine.

The US has cracked down on opiates in the past two years. It would be much easier for him to go on the Dark Web and buy it with bitcoin. Doctors are afraid to even give weak stuff with more than 1 week's worth of a prescription because the DEA is on their ass, much less fentanyl. That's reserved for very serious cases like cancer patients or car accident victims.

Thanks, yea fentanyl should strictly be only for real serious medical conditions etc. They need to better police the dark/deep web when it comes to drugs like that. Instead of worrying about people buying weed and things like that when you have folks losing their lives with fentanyl things move into another realm of seriousness. But even if they do criminalise the sale of not just fentanyl but other potent opiods they'll find a way to get their hands on it.

Home run records? Winning meaningful games after July? I'm ready for my heart to be broken again. I haven't been excited about baseball since ... let me check ... 2010
