Basically, his gist is that most 4K displays can only display up to 60fps, which make them inferior to anything that can do better than that. And even if you get one that does go higher, buying a rig that can run it is cost prohibitive.
So his logic is sound despite the clickbait title.
4K on a 55” TV is definitely noticible when the screen isn’t moving rapidly. There is a chrispness on images when they are still or slow moving. But it’s just not worth turning down other visual effects just to keep the frame rate.
