I don't give a shit because I've never seen a single episode of Doctor Who. But I can't wait until this gimmick recasting shit is over with. Why can't the studio ask for scripts about a new female Sci fi character? It's so lazy to fall back on this lame publicity stunt just because you have idiot's in charge who don't know how to spot an original good idea, so lean on franchise reboots. It's in three parts.

1) Announcement ("Character X is Y now. Deal with it!")

2) White male backlash ("OMG MUH CHILDHOOD IS RUINED!")

3) SJW backlash ("Why does Doctor Who have to be a white cisgendered female? Why can't it be a one eyed black transgender muslim who attends culinary school?")

Not Jane Bond but it was rumored Idris Elba would get the role after Daniel Craig quit and people freaked. I think it would be a good idea because Elba is awesome.

I'm not a doctor who fan at all really.. I've probably only seen maybe 50 episodes, about 48 of them were Tom Baker, one was Christopher Eccleston, one was David Tennant, and like 20 seconds of Matt Smith (I stayed for the theme tune).

But it's funny to see the reactions of some of my mega, mega nerd friends (Think seen every episode of every Sci Fi ever).. It's like the world ending, It's like Female ghostbusters times 1000

But unrelated... Jane Bond would actually be pretty fucking cool!
A smart mouthed, drinking, smooth young lady that fucks lots of guys. I'd pay to see that. It would be great!

so I looked it up, and it made perfect sense. Not sure if I'm interested to be honest. I'll give it a chance though.
