On February 21, 2017, Cassidy uploaded a video on YouTube explaining the story behind the Krispy Kreme/Froggy Fresh project. Over the course of 23 minutes, Cassidy pulled back the curtain on the character and the world he created, explaining that Froggy Fresh was indeed a comedic character created after years of struggling to gain attention as a serious rap artist. While he stated had enjoyed the five years of making videos, Cassidy revealed that it had eventually become boring for him and that the friends who populated his videos had gone in different directions in their respective lives. Cassidy revealed that Tyler, a friend of his portrays Money Maker Mike, and another friend, Daniel, portrays James. Furthermore, he stated that he tried to create a serious rap album but did felt unmotivated for it. He expressed his in interest in becoming a comedic actor and stated that he had been in talks to develop a television show—unlikely involving the Froggy Fresh character—with a producer in Los Angeles. As a final send off to the Froggy Fresh character, Cassidy announced the he would be doing a solo tour, without Money Maker Mike or James, in the summer of 2017.
