Shadow of the Beast was a groundbreaking achievement in video games. In 1989 the concept of multi-layer parallax scrolling, and 120+ colors on screen running on a stock Amiga at 7mhz was unheard of. And yet Psygnosis and Reflections made it possible. As a game - Shadow of the Beast was a disappointment, but as a tech demo? It's one of the greatest ever made. In this episode we take a deep dive into the graphics of Shadow of the Beast.

Having done Amiga Power in the past, here's a corresponding look at the games that Amiga Format thought were the worst on the computer -- an intriguing selection of infamous titles, CDTV obscura, the odd surprise and a couple of unreleased games. Enjoy!
Here's a collection of really quite awful rip-offs of Capcom's legendary Ghosts 'n' Goblins (and Ghouls 'n' Ghosts) that were on the Amiga! The infamous likes of Belial and Night Walk await, along with a few other hidden piles of unimpressive code. Enjoy!
