Easing up on Toto?
I'm confused, every single person in the entire world has loved Toto since I can remember.
Did I miss something? Or is there a new Toto that sucks?

If you can find a single person who says they don't love Hold the line, Africa, or Rosanna they're either a god damn liar, or they haven't ever heard those songs.

the 42 second clip on x doesnt sound too bad but until an entire track appears it aint enough to judge, some non rock folk have done good rock stuff in the past so if a track appear I'll judge after hearing it but I wont hold my breath

This was the single. Mariah just had her friend sing over the recording to hide her voice.

It flopped and was most famous for being on Beavis & Butthead.

It could've been a good song, the production is just bad with all the stacked vocals and harmonies. If they released it about 5 years later, it could've been a pop punk hit.

MYSTERIOUS SONG FINALLY IDENTIFIED

You may have heard about "the most mysterious song on the internet", which someone recorded off the radio on a cassette and for years no one in the world could find its origins. But now at last, it has been identified! That recording was an early version of the 1983 song "Subways of Your Mind", by short-lived German new wave band FEX.

It's about time. How was it identified? AI? or did some 80 year old German hear it and instantly know it because it used to be their favourite band?

Weird, the Rolling Stone article wasn't paywalled before. Replaced the link with an archived version.
Marijn1412, the user who likely identified “Subways of Your Mind,” explained in their post that the mystery began to unravel after they found an old article about FEX — who were from Kiel, Germany — while researching bands who played at an annual event called Hörfest. Marijn1412 reached out to one of the members and asked if he still had any old recordings, “and lo and behold, one of them was titled ‘Subways of Your Mind.’” (Though as Marijn1412 noted, the version of the song he received is “slightly different… from the one we know.”)

There's a lot of info on reddit about it, plus extra songs.
