The 1990 Cornette timeline is really good except they kinda blow through the last four months of the year, but Cornette was involved less and less in the product so it makes sense. It was crazy how 1989 WCW was one of the greatest years a company ever had to being complete shit by spring 1990. Even WWF wasn't as bad when they dropped off a cliff in quality in 2002 after a hot 4 year run.

It was crazy how 1989 WCW was one of the greatest years a company ever had to being complete shit by spring 1990. Even WWF wasn't as bad when they dropped off a cliff in quality in 2002 after a hot 4 year run.

There was a *lot* of bad in 1989 too, it's just overshadowed by how wonderful the upper mid-card and main event was. Flair didn't get the book until around the end of 1989 and was on the verge of repairing the entire booking situation in 1990 but Herd had Herd enough of that shit.

Suzuki is hilarious. You can turn on the YouTube subtitles to English on his promos posted by New Japan and he's just heeling on the fans and they love it. So I'm not surprised that he and Maki work as a good comedy team.
