That is a delightful CD set.

I got recommended this from that video:

When I think of "Cool Rock", the first artists I think of are Taylor Dayne, Wilson Phillips and Glass Tiger. Oh Yeah!

Monsters of Rock and Cool Rock were good, I was always partial to Rock This Way myself. Mix all these together with AM Gold and Monster Ballads, then you've got my entire childhood.

Martin Shkreli ordered to surrender his copies of rare Wu-Tang Clan album

The former "pharma-bro" was sued for illegally copying and playing the album in June

Martin Shkreli has been ordered to surrender his copies of the rare Wu-Tang Clan album ‘Once Upon A Time In Shaolin’.

According to ArtNet, a judge ordered Skhreli to overturn any copies he possesses within one week, passing the ruling on Friday morning (August 23). The judgement stems from digital art collective PleasrDAO’s suing of Shkreli for copying and playing the album without permission in June.

Judge Pamela Chen has also demanded Shkreli to provide an affidavit confirming his relinquishment, along with an inventory of all copies he had made, who he distributed them to, and any profits made from the distribution. Shkreli has been ordered to give this inventory to the judge within 30 days.

Shrekli’s attorney did not immediately respond to ArtNet‘s request for comment.

The former hedge fund manager and ‘pharma-bro’, who bought the sole copy of the record back in 205 for $2million (£1.4m), was sued for illegally livestreaming the album last June.

Shkreli purchased the album under the condition that the album could not be commercially exploited until 2103, though it could be played at listening parties. He went on to play clips of the album during a livestream in 2017 despite the restrictions, then attempted to sell the album on eBay.

Though the sale was never completed, Shkreli was then forced to hand over the album following his conviction for securities fraud, when $7.4million (£5.8m) worth of assets were seized by a federal court. The album is now in the hands of the digital art collective PleasrDAO.

A modern Oasis gig could be the best stage performance of all time... As long as there's plenty of things for the Gallaghers to swing and throw at each other.

I'd remove the seats from any venue they play at and put them all half together on the stage so they can break chairs over each other for 90 minutes.

The set list would be something like.
9:30: mic check and argument.
9:35: screaming match and light instrument assaults.
9:58: The start of Wonderwall.
9:59: Insult Intermission.
10:00: the end of Wonderwall.
10:01: a light punch up.
10:02: The start of don't look back in anger.
10:03: Noel yelling rant mid song.
10:04: end of don't look back with a lot of wankers and rude gestures at each other.
10:05: 46 seconds of all around the world before they realise they are now completely out of listenable musical material and break things over each other's heads for 20 minutes before Liam walks off quitting forever and Noel calls everyone cunts and wankers and twonks and other traditionally great British insults before finishing the last of the coke and going back to making terrible music but being one of the best spectacles the world has ever seen.

That would keep everyone happy, the 10 people who want to hear the bands only 2 good songs from 30 years ago, and the constantly interesting stuff of the past 30 years for the 99.99%

The funny thing is on the Mr. Show DVD commentary Bob Odenkirk said he wrote that to be a Radiohead parody because he saw them on 120 Minutes acting like that and thought they were dicks. Oasis were far more lively in their interviews.
