I'm suppose "Doritos-flavored schnapps" doesn't have the same ring to it

Re: The Junk Food/Fast Food Thread
I had five guys today.
And in other news, I also ate at the burger place Five Guys in Melbourne today...hey, hey!
The burger was good. Not amazing, but above average. It got a little sloppy towards the end of it due to the two patties.
The fries were nice, but they gave me a stupidly large amount of them. I ordered a large, but they ended up giving me 2 regular cups in a big bag, and then filled the bag up. I barely made a dent in it. My brother and his girlfriend didn't get anywhere near as many fries but also couldn't finish what they got, so dumped them in the big bag and I brought them home.

Yeah my brother was saying that's their thing, giving out a lot of fries.
It must have been over a kilo of them.

I do like the fries, they might be some of the best in the business. I just never think to go there. And I'm not sure about the conversion rate to dollarydoos, but the joke here is that you need a second mortgage to afford Five Guys.

$17 for a bacon cheeseburger did give me pause the first time I went there, but it was better than the other fast food chains.

Re: The Junk Food/Fast Food Thread
It was $17 Australian for a hamburger, $20.50 for a bacon hamburger, so the prices here are about the same as other niche burger joints. Obviously a fair bit more expensive than McDonald's and Hungry Jacks (Burger King), but better quality.
There were a lot of pigeons in the store. Walking around, looking for scraps. Some flying.

Re: The Junk Food/Fast Food Thread
I went to Hungry Jacks (Burger King) for the first time in ages yesterday.
I remember why I stopped going. Shit chips that were so salty and dry I couldn't even finish them, crappy onion rings, slightly flat and slightly warm coke and a whopper that had 50ml of juice per cubic centimetre making it a soggy, delicious mess.
All while paying $29 for the 2 whopper meals.
Now sure the taste and size of the burger were consistent (still need 2 hands to eat a whopper without it falling apart, and even when dripping wet they taste good) but after the batshit price and the rest of the meal sucking ass I won't be returning. $22 is the price for 2 burgers with the lot from local fish and chip shops, it's just the opening hours and wait times that kill them.
Been getting a lot of Macca's lately simply because they have reasonable quality, prices, portions, speed and opening hours. For $36 I can get 4 big Macs with good chips and good drinks, and a base model Big Mac at least has cheese.
Macca's is the Toyota Hilux of burger places. They're not the best in any regard, but critically, they aren't absolutely awful at something that ruins the whole thing.
I've also started trying local doughnut shops, I've found some that can slightly edge out Krispy Kremes, but the price is astronomical, so next doughnuts will be back to the staple of really good for an ok price.

Not the most feral thing I've ever seen, but pretty close... fucking gross. Also disgusting is Vegemite in a squeezy bottle.. NO! Vegemite must come in a glass jar or GTFO!
Holy shit... that meal heaps worse than all the ingredients would be by themselves.
