Top gear ended a decade ago. (Well the 28th of June)
Where did the time go?
Those final challenges were pretty good, the cheap classics and the cheap 4wd challenge.

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. It's happening!
I can honestly say I'm more pumped for this than I was for the last 2 Futurama revivals!
More pumped for this than both new Beavis and Butthead revivals.
More pumped for this than each new season of Silicon valley.
So happy.

It's sketchy to cancel Mr. Liberal after CBS just bent the knee and paid out a $16M settlement to Trump. Legacy networks (CBS, NBC and ABC) are in big trouble and they'll keep cutting old-fashioned stuff like late night and sitcoms. I still watch a reality show (Big Brother) and primetime TV is bleak. Last summer, the lead in for Big Brother was Tulsa King—a show that's already released on Paramount Plus. Once I saw CBS showing reruns of a streaming show at the 7 p.m. timeslot, I figured they were cooked.
Late night programming on legacy networks deserves a swift death, but of course, the media conglomerate is doing it in the most capitalist way possible. Colbert can probably make much more money with his own podcast, like Conan did first.

Re: TV Shows: Renewed, Axed, Picked Up + News
I wondered about ad revenue when I saw the ratings. The biggest YouTube channels can clear 2.5M views in a few hours. And here's CBS still trying to grind out expensive traditional TV content.
This will all have cascading effects on the affiliates. Each town has a CBS affiliate that's locally owned and pays the network for the privilege to broadcast CBS shows. What happens when CBS doesn't have any content to share? The affiliates have less money for their news divisions and staff gets cut. TV news stations without staff play regional and national wire stories from their corporate ownership (Sinclair, Nexstar etc.). Some of these stations are bleak, where it's all just news content that's approved by execs. That's one way how the news gets astroturfed here.

'South Park' creators reach $1.5-billion streaming deal with Paramount
The creators of Comedy Central's "South Park" reached a breakthrough Monday in the tense negotiations over the streaming rights of the long-running satirical cartoon.
Paramount agreed to buy the global streaming rights for "South Park" to bring the show to the company's digital service, Paramount+, for the first time in the U.S., according to three people close to the negotiations who were not authorized to comment.
The deal with Trey Parker and Matt Stone, through their Park County production company, values the global streaming rights at $300 million a year, according to two of the people close to the agreement, who could not discuss the matter publicly because the deal is not final.
The five-year deal means the show will fetch $1.5 billion for streaming alone.
The sum preserves the show's status as one of the world's most valuable TV franchises.
Both sides were motivated to reach a deal before Wednesday, when Paramount's Comedy Central channel kicks off the 27th season of "South Park."
Paramount also wanted to avoid any public relations fiascoes when Stone and Parker take the stage Thursday at fan-fest Comic-Con in San Diego.
Separately, the two sides have been negotiating an overall deal for Parker and Stone, to renew their previous $900-million pact that kept the show on Comedy Central with new episodes through 2027. Parker and Stone's team are seeking a higher valuation in order to produce new seasons.

Well that's wrong. Season 10 premieres on the 15th of September.
Either that or they made more episodes in season 9 and delayed airing them, but it's certainly not season 13.
(It still pisses me off to no end that not only do people spread fake news, but also can't count to a level that most 3 year olds can.)
I'm looking forward to season 10... Only took 26 years. If the show can actually get to season 13 in 3-20 years from now, it will be a miracle.

The creators of the show are calling it season 13. I'm happy to go along with their expert opinion on what season it is.

Really? Matt Groening and David Cohen have started calling it season 13? When did that happen? Because for the shows entire run they had always used the correct production code ordering, but my knowledge the past 2 months of Futurama news isn't the greatest, so if you say they have started to refer to it as season 13, I'll take your word.

They called me up and said "We call it season 13 now.", and then hung up.

Billy West then called me and asked "if I was looking forward to hearing his voice work on Futurama season 13 coming on September 15th (16th in Australia)?" and I said yes, and then I hung up.
