He was 2 hours late. The crowd were not happy.

Read the recap & apparently Paul E was talking about Brock. Don't think he mentioned Vince Sr as I believe Paul started out taking photos for the WWWF.

Stephanie was at the HOF too.

You can see Steph next to HHH in the uncensored Twitter version. She applauds a few times when he swears.

He mentions Brock a few times but he's just doing his 21-1 shtick, nothing major.

He gargled HHH's balls but didn't mention Tod Gordon.

First HOF that I'm not interested in watching, sadly.

Undertaker inducting Ali was the weirdest shit. I know he's a big boxing fan but he has no connection to him and a guy who played a grave digger inducting a dead person is a little tasteless. Vince probably would have done it if he was still there.

Paul E definitely should've mentioned Tod & thanked him. Had Eddie Gilbert not left ECW, Paul wouldn't have been in the position he was in as the booker.

My main thought about WM night 1 is that it went for a very long time.

I didn't see a second of it but people loved Gunther vs Sami.

That was good and so was the tag ladder match and Rhea/Becky. The main event was also decent it just went for ages.

Was it really 45 minutes or was that including entrances?

44:32

Other than the opener and Gunther/Sami, WM night 1 was a big fat turdarino. The main event felt like it went on for fifty years. Civilizations rose and conquered and died and animals evolved into other animals into humans and colonized space it seems in the time it took for that goddamn match to end.

WWE is stupid.
Either Cody wins, which they've telegraphed after that turd match last night.
or Roman wins and it's a monstrous letdown.
There s no win win here.

I felt bad for knocking the show with a two line review and I have Peacock now so fuck it, I'll watch this shit live.
Just doing matches, no anglemania.
Fuck me all the pagentry and commercials are gonna burn my ass.

Steph with the most awkward intro ever.

DREW MCINTYRE vs SETH ROLLINS - Wasn't expecting Drew to win to win but the match was absolute fire, with everyone having lots of Smackdown Specials saved up and lots of big moves and drama and story. ****

Then Damien Priest wins the title after anglemania and you could see that coming a mile away.

6 MAN STREET FIGHT WITH PEOPLE I DONT CARE ABOUT - Nice PG street fight. ECW for kids. **

LA KNIGHT vs AJ STYLES - Perfectly acceptable filler wrestling match slash house show main event. Good psychology with the stomach work. ***1/4

LOGAN PAUL vs RANDY ORTON vs KEVIN OWENS - Randy Orton and Kevin Steen are pretty damn good professional wrestlers and this match was quite fine to me, even with the goofiness and all the FOUL LANGUAGE being thrown around! ****

IYO SKY vs BAYLEY - This stands a chance of being better than the main event. Hell this might be my Wrestlemania main event. I care way more about this one at this point than the real main event. Bailey's theme and entrance is fire and holy shit she has *IT.* Iyo also has *IT*. Holy shit this feels like a WM main event. Yep. main event ain't topping that shit. ****1/2 for the match and psychology, 1/2 for the drama, so ***** and if you think I'm rating too high, eat my ass.

CODY RHODES vs REIGNS - They pulled off a WM big fight feel with the intros, gotta give 'em that. Let's see if the match delivers. Wow, that was a spectacle. You could see the ending a mile off but it was 10000 times more entertaining than I planned on. ****

And then Michael Cole actually says he loves professional wrestling and we all agree.
