Re: The GTA Thread (GTA VI releasing Fall 2025)
The GTA Trilogy on PC and console has finally been mostly fixed up with the latest patch. They've added all the fixes from the Netflix mobile versions.

I don’t understand how some of those bugs could have been in the trilogy when it originally released. Some rendering issues I could understand, but how do entire animations and collision boxes just go missing?

Bad devs.
Funnily enough, Grove Street Games are now working on Ark games, which are also well known for being buggy messes.

Re: The GTA Thread (GTA VI releasing Fall 2025)
It took 3 years, but Rockstar Games Grand Theft Auto GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition has been fixed - addressing many of the most important issues from the original 2021 release from Grove Street Games. It's a much-improved experience restoring the content to be as faithful as possible to the original PS2 versions and one that I can finally recommend to anyone who wants to experience the 3 classic games for modern consoles. So, what was fixed? And what happened to Grove Street Games? In this episode we take a closer look at the updated 1.112 Patch which really improves the game in many ways.

GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition has received a wealth of changes and upgrades courtesy of developers old and new. Classic Lighting from the mobile versions is now available on consoles, so we had to take another look at the game. Has performance improved? What's the score with the myriad bugs? What about the AI upscaled artwork? Are we actually any closer to a properly 'definitive' edition?

I'm at a point with GTA Online that I'm like "fuck it, whatever"
I befriended a modder and had him give me a shitload of RP and he rigs the casino for us so we can get easy money. I was always cautious with this but fucking rockstar. 13 years of this game and honestly, playing it feels annoying. Dated game, dated engine.

I played GTAO those first 2 weeks it came out and was free on the 360. It was alright, but had enough of it after the 2 weeks.

I go back to it from time to time but there's not a lot of incentive to. So when this modder gave me another 150 levels and what worked out to be over $30m, I was fine with that

Re: The GTA Thread (GTA VI releasing Fall 2025)
Dr. Zoidberg I just learned about the GTA III port to the Dreamcast a couple of weeks ago. It is absolutely insane and amazing that they were able to port it over. Back in the DCEmulation days nobody would have ever believed that would ever be possible. "DC doesn't have enough VRAM!" I don't have a Dreamcast anymore, I just emulate when I feel like some playing some DC classics. If I did I'd be burning it immediately! I'm probably going to search out the download and try it on ReDream. Not quite the same playing it on an emulator as it would be seeing it run on the DC in person but I'd still like to check it out.
First Mario 64 then GTA III, whats next? DreamSNES 1.0?!
Edit: Well sheet. The only version I can find for download is an earlier build where the sound doesn't work yet. And while I'd like to try it I don't want to try it bad enough to mess around with compiling it myself.
