Re: Wrestler Death thread
That sucks. Don West was a legend. Maybe the only wrestling related person who got a SNL parody of them.

The funny thing was WILL FERRELL couldn't be as wild as the real Don.

He was 68 and was apparently active on Facebook right before he died so it was something sudden like a heart attack I'd assume.

RIP Lanny. You were a good egg, refreshingly honest, and did a lot for your brother after his passing. Go be with your family now, you've earned it.

Jerry Jarrett, father of Jeff Jarrett and one of the most influential wrestling figures of all time, passed away about an hour or two ago.
When you're so good that you're the last territory standing admist Vince conquering the continent AND Vince wants you to run the company if he goes to jail for drug trafficking, you are one of the greatest of all time.
Read both of his books, heard all of his interviews, learned a lot from him. I had a chance to meet and have dinner with him when I was living in Tennessee and I ended up not going for bullshit reasons and will now be kicking myself all the harder for this.
Loved him. Taught me more about the business than anyone else.
RIP.

What a bad week for Memphis. Lost one Jerry and almost lost the other.
Conrad said he had cancer and kept it private.
