I remember that show but I was too young at the time to appreciate Gordon Solie then. I hadn't seen his classic 80s Florida and Georgia stuff yet. To me as a kid announcing was Gorilla, Vince, JR, Joey Styles, Schiavone, and unfortunately Eric Bischoff. It was much different than now where everything filmed is online to stream somewhere. Back then you had to trade tapes or buy VHS from RF Video. People deep into wrestling today have no excuse not to educate themselves if they're serious about learning history.

God, you watch Owen Hart even in his early days and he just exudes so much talent. I'm starting to think he might have even been more of the complete, perfect package than Bret Hart or Chris Benoit at their peak.

The problem was he was never as serious about it as Bret, Dynamite or Benoit. Those three were driven to be the best wrestler ever and be on top. To the point that it cost them their health and/or lives. To Owen it was just the family business he got into because it paid better than anything else he could do. If Stu had run a bakery he'd do that for a living. He was amazingly naturally talented but didn't care if he was in the opening match or main event as long as he got a paycheck and had a few laughs with his buddies.
